Thanks, in advance, for your participation and Go Zips!Remember, you can come out to the Winking Lizard off of Ghent Rd in Fairlawn and meet the coaches yourself, starting at 7 PM. If you can't make it, please be sure to tune in to the broadcast on the radio on the home of the Zips, 1350 AM.
  3. Thanks for all those that tuned in tonight. We'll have a new ask the coach thread for the week of Jan. 19th starting on Monday. Thanks for all those that participated. For those that didn't, hope to have you participate next week. Football junkies, JD Brookhart and his signing day special is coming in two weeks! Keep em coming.Rob
  4. Just sent it off to the moderators just now! Please remember that I've got a responsibility to the coaches to be respectful, so I'll have to have some restraint during the segment on the radio. Nevertheless, it's an exciting partnership that I hope you all will come to enjoy. Not many schools can say that they have this much creative control and impact on its coaches show. Thank you to the moderators of this board and the fans for being so willing to participate. All the best, Rob GidelPlay-by-Play, HostAkron ISP Sports NetworkWomen's Basketball v. 5. Hey Zips fans! First off, I want to let everyone know how grateful I am for the chance to be a part of the Zips family. I can't say enough good things about the great people of Akron. If I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, please don't be shy in coming over and introducing yourself at a women's basketball game or a baseball game in the future. I enjoy meeting new people and, most importantly, listening to passionate Zips fans who offer up their insights and opinions which help open up doors to making me a better communicator and broadcaster. One of the things that I wanted to do, as part of my transition to Akron in November, was revamp the Coaches Shows to become more fan friendly for all Zips fans. Some of the previous places I had encountered all had call-in shows and email in-boxes for fans all across the country to participate in asking the coaches of their favorite university a question. Unfortunately, we did not have that set up here at Akron. Which is why I asked the moderators of Zips Nation to partner with us in a segment each week where fans can ask the week's featured coaches questions to be answered live on the air. I'd like for you to post your own question for the coach in the thread below. This Thursday, Coach Jodi Kest and Coach Keith Dambrot will both be appearing on the show starting at 7 PM, so be sure to drop a line soon. As part of our newly revamped show, we're also going to have a new segment allotted for friends of the program, super fans, AK-Rowdies and sponsors to come down and be interviewed for the show as well. In case you don't know, we broadcast every show on the outside patio at the Winking Lizard in Fairlawn off of Ghent Road. If you can't make it, please be sure to tune in to the broadcast on the radio on the home of the Zips, 1350 AM.Come next week, we'll have a completely different thread, so be sure to keep those questions coming. Thanks for your time and participation. Go Zips!Rob GidelAkron ISP Sports NetworkWomen's Basketball v. Ohio, Wednesday at 7 PM
