  1. So what type of pencils are you selling?
  2. The guys just need to get it goin on offense. Some bad shots and sloppy plays have us behind in this one. I think our defense has actually been pretty good. Smarter play would tighten this one up. We deserve the situation we're in. Lets Go Zips!
  3. Zeke needs to respond better...just go out there and block 5 more like that. Don't take it out on your teamates.
  4. I threw my sock at the TV when Brett took that last three..wow
  5. Nothings going our way...let the headache begin.
  6. Now that we got that out of our system...lets try playing well
  7. Looks like the two teams are feeling each other out a little too much early on. Zips need to come out harder.
  8. Move over Davidson...I want to see my Zips
  9. try here? http://www.firstrowsports.eu/sport/basketball.html
  10. I think its just one of the chapters in what was a pretty sloppy performance. Solid game by WMU also perhaps?
  11. ...and I thought Walsh looked really solid too. Not hearing much mentioned about him.
  12. I think Chauncey is too talented to only play 10mins a game. Wish we had more room to play him. This team is jam packed with talent. Gonna be an interesting fight for minutes next year. Great game for Zeke and Tree Not so great for Serb Harney and McClannahan. It sure is nice having multiple weapons. Lets Go Zips! On to the next one.
  13. I don't like the idea of trying to get McClannahan going in close games...
  14. Why haven't I seen Chauncey in the game for so long?
  15. I feel like Nik has regressed significantly on offense this year...what's up with that? Getting sloppy on offense 17 - 12 WMU up
  16. Is it just me or does this happen at the beginning of every game.
  17. Considering I graduated last year this topic really isn't for me. For the most part I think people are playing devils advocate because we know something is really wrong. I served my time, sitting on the floor with the rowdies my final two years of school. It was a great time (some of my best UA memories) thanks to the friends who I brought down with me. Never really did I feel much initiative was taken to welcome newcomers. My point is this: I truly thought that with the continued success of the team, coupled with growing school tradition the basketball support would improve ten fold. I'm just curious what's holding this back...something doesn't add up. I considered many times becoming more involved with the group, but was never really approached so my interest faded.
  18. No No No...that would just make too much sense!!! Only counter to that is you'd have to guard a seat more intently
  19. When 25 members of a group keep to themselves rather than encouraging others to get involved I would say it does. Keep in mind most people probably have no idea what's going on with half the chants. People figure better to sit on my hands in GA than feel stupid. Still could go with the "it's their problem" approach, but obviously swarms of students aren't flocking in.
  20. A good point. I think the fear is that the section would become more of GA seating and less of a student section. Most of this would be solved if the section was bigger.
  21. can never get enough of the zips
  22. Always a good read
  23. I don't think most people feel welcomed. Comes off as very clique like. Most people I talk to would just assume not sit down there. It's a lot of fun being part of the action and energy on the floor but could leave many feeling rather lost and isolated...
  24. Really don't understand why people aren't getting this... There is obviously a problem if most (and I think it's significant) students would rather sit in the nose bleeds than right on the floor where there's the best view. Sure we can just assume they don't want a wristband and end the discussion there. My question is why don't most student want better seats at the game? I think making the floor seats mandatory to the first 200 student would be messy...but I like the idea. I think people would want wristbands to the GA seating sadly. Now about moving the band... Only Kidding
  25. I agree. At about this time every year we have this discussion. Looking back, I felt as though the Rowdies had a frat mentality where they (for some reason) were perfectly content to goof around among themselves rather than try to draw others into the fun. The demand just isn't there, so why not be more proactive. Sure, some could point out that the number of members is on the rise, but quality doesn't seem to be correlated. A unified student section could really take things to another level. The emotion is contagious. Catch the fever. I love the rowdies and the zips..time to kick it up a notch.
