  1. If you watch that video you will realize it was the 20 good plays that Ohio had, in a 19-7 victory that should very well have been a loss if not for Turnover Machine # 5. It was put together by Ohio, to make Ohio look good. It wasn't a game highlight video, it was an Ohio highlight video. If you are going to say you watched "highlights" of the season and "came to a conclusion" make sure you actually watch the films that show every play that Akron had, not just the ones that Ohio wants it's recruits to see.Talk about an uninformed opinion. I agree, you cannot rely on a highlight video to make your assumption on how much effort the team put into that game. Sometimes good players make others look stupid and their players did that a few times to us(all caught on video).Btw i do disagree on one thing, #5 is not a turnover machine....he is a turnover FACTORY.BTW---we get your point about Rodgers as you continue to bring it up at any and every opportunity. It's done and he is done for the season. Please find something new to squack about. We get that you like Nicely as do I. But continuing to slam Rodgers doesn't make Nicely any more or less than he is. BTW--- Did you happen to notice the many offensive adjustments the coaches made right down to who was calling the plays as soon as Nicely began to play. Would have been nice if they had done that sooner. At least we came close to Buffalo which Im not sure what that says.
  2. Rootforroo44An injury is the only positive? Not only is that pathetic to wish misfortune on a 20 year old, what the heck does that say for the team you are supposedly supporting. How weak an observation.Good luck Matt in your recovery. You have many assets far beyond the football field. And no this is not Matt nor his parents. They have better sense than to ever look at this blog. Never have...never will.
  3. G-mann I knew I could get a rise out of you. Correct me if I'm wrong but CJ was in his 2nd year of STARTING last year and threw 4 interceptions. Rodgers deserves his chance and if not, run Rodgers, run.
  4. So Rodgers gets one week of taking snaps with the first string and we now decide to give Nicely 2 weeks to take snaps with the first string, and 8 weeks of the season to get experience. If I were Rodgers I would run from this program as fast as I could. While Jacq was being Jacq, Rodgers did what he agreed to do when he accepted his scholarship. He attended classes and from what I understand gets fabulous grades, never missed mandatory or optional practices according to an inside source, and worked extremely hard in the off season to earn playing time, that coming from the coaches. All this while a tremendous amount of crap was apparently going on within a team that Brookhart was overseeing.I say start Nicely, burn his redshirt and give Rodgers the opportunity to walk. Don't think for a minute Brookhart hasn't seriously contemplated this. They may not need Rodgers to start but they need him on the team and perhaps that is what Brrokhart has been thinking all along. Come on there were plenty of opportunities to get Rodgers in the games last year when either they were blowing out a team or Jacq was stinking out the joint. And nothing changed. Do Rodgers a favor and start Nicely. No... that wouldn't be fair to Nicely. Run, Rodgers, run.. You deserve better.
  5. Start the backups of all the positions where our players fell short and make sure that includes the veteran players (those with more than 2 starts) as well.
