Hi folks. Looks like the fans for Akron are excited and confident. That's good, I hope your fans enjoy the game, well maybe not really.2005 -- State's defense held Florida State to 227 total yards, of which 184 was through the air. We intercepted them 3 times. Maryland was held to 265 yards. We ranked second nationally in pass efficiency defense, and we ranked 14th nationally in rushing defense. 8th in the nation in total defense. We were 6th nationally in sacks and 2nd nationally in tackles for loss.From what I can tell, we are close to as good or better with our defense as last year. We will slow you down a lot. If your defense can't stop our running backs, you will probably lose. Shut us down and it will be a tight game.Good luck, and welcome to Raleigh.
