We could open it up if you all want. What that does for us, though, is make us have to go out and film every little event on campus. Frankly, I wouldn't mind having more content like that, but with unfavorable schedules between class, work, and (for a majority of the team) WZIP with production, Power Talk on Sundays, and HS games on Friday nights. I figured if we kept it to basketball, it would fit in better with the theme of the show this semester, since most of the stuff going on around campus is related to basketball (I know track is going on right now, and practices for spring sports are underway). If you want to send questions on anything dealing athletics, feel free. We'll be more than happy to discuss whatever you guys want. More work, yes, but if it makes the fans happy, then might as well push forth with it.

**The BIG NEWS that I had mentioned in the Can't State Post game thread** I made an executive decision this past week for our show, and decided we needed more fan interaction. SO... this is what's going down... The show itself is pretty much Men's basketball, and Women's basketball. The only thing is this leaves us with one segment of the show in which we need to fill up. Feature stories are obviously going to be placed here... but for the SPT Overtime Edition segment, we need something to talk about. THIS IS WHERE YOU ALL COME IN!! We are going to make a Q & A segment in which YOU guys ask us questions on the Zips Basketball program, what we think is going to go down etc etc. On this thread, send us your questions that you want us to answer on our show. If we like it, we'll talk about it and also give a "special thanks" to those screen names that submit us a question in our closing credits! We film our show next week Wednesday and it should be ready by that Friday to be put online for everyone to see! The segment itself will feature myself as well as a new member to the TV team and relatively new member to WZIP Sports, DJ Johnson. (please bear in mind that I've only appeared on this segment a couple shows and DJ has never been on it. It'll be better by show 2 for sure.) Absolutely agree. Now we don't really know KD's exact words, because ZTVSportsProducer was just paraphrasing him. But I've always thought that coaches come across better to fans and players alike by saying something like: "I thought I had the team ready for that zone they put against us, but from the mistakes that were made in doubling on the inside shooter/against someone on the other side, leaving the 3 shooter open, it's obvious that I didn't do as good a job of preparing the players as I thought I had." Yeah, KD didn't exactly place blame on the players for the loss. He did say at one point that even though they played bad in the first half, the blame eventually leads back to him and the coaching staff for not preparing them fully and driving it into their heads that "this" is how we are going to play against this coverage and so on. He was as mad with himself as he was with the rest of the game

I planned on posting the press conference from the game Wednesday, but alas, the HD files did not transfer over correctly. Not sure why that is. I can tell you the basic points of what Dambrot said (McNees did the other interview... not interesting at all). He stated directly that he was pissed and seriously was ready to choke someone out. They knew what was coming in that zone that they put against us, and they made the stupid mistakes they were told not to do (doubling on the inside shooter/against someone on the other side, leaving the 3 shooter open). They stopped (sorta) in the second half... better than the first at least. He also talked about the talking going on between the games saying "I don't like it, but I have to respect it. They talked a big game, and backed it up... gotta respect that." He wished his players would have made some kind of scene earlier in the game rather than at the end so that way the refs would have stopped it during the rest of the game. As for his players, horrible against the zone in the first half, better in the second half, but not enough. Comment that Zeke looked good last game, but then this one looked like he had never stepped on the floor before. Wasn't able to keep out of foul trouble early and that hurt big time. Also mentioned that Abreu looked like a true freshman on the floor for the first time this season. Also had to give some props to OU for hitting the open shots (which they had plenty of those on the night), and to scold his team for not hitting there's. So, for the most part he was pissed (and had I put the videos online, there would have been a *Viewers discretion is advised* logo at the top). He didn't say too much about the next couple games coming up they have on the road, so we'll see if he can kick their butts into gear.

**COMING SOON** I would have had the videos up for this tonight for you all... but however, the electric guy hasn't finished what he's doing at our office, so I am not able to encode the videos since the program I need is on my computer there. I will hopefully be able to get it to you either tomorrow or Monday morning. And exciting news for you all. From now on, our videos will be in HD! We have made the switch over this semester, so we should have better quality videos for you guys (and gals) from now on! I will apologize for the sound quality on this first attempt however, since I did not get a mic hooked up to put on the table in front of them, so we have the audio that is on the camera (which picks up every little noise that can possibly be picked up in the media room). But don't worry, it will all get fixed for the following post game press conferences. haha I actually enjoyed this song. Apparently, though, if I'm not in the state and I show some of my team how to put the vids online.... they have a lot of problems. Somewhere along the way they did something, and I have no idea what happened. I can try to get it to you now that I'm actually in town, so if you really want it, I'll get it up for you guys. Also, from my understanding of how the press conference went, they had problems with some o the people that were there too. Some guy kept walking in and out of the room slamming the door each time they came and left, and Akron's AD apparently kept walking very slowly in front of our camera and they had to move the tripod just so he wouldnt be in the shot.... and then he walked in front of the camera again. I guess it was very unorganized in there, and might be pretty bad quality. I'll find out here in a bit when I go back to the editing suite and look at it. sorry, not the AD, writer for the paper walked in front of the camera

We will definitely make sure we get what Dambrot and the players have to say about this game to you tonight after the game. Wish I could go to the game myself, it should be a great one!

Funnily enough we do have a splitter and more mics that we can use, just with 4 other teams up here filming stuff, not everything is available every time we need it. Some days it's hard enough getting just 1 microphone because it seems like EVERYONE needs them for something or other! haha Like I said though in another post, I'll try to make it easier for you all to here everything better and make it a good quality video for you all to enjoy. It's a learning experience for all of us up at Z-TV, so once we find an easier way to get it to you, things will be much smoother

I have a feeling that it is only going to be during the tourney games. During the regular season and even the MAC Tournament, the players and Porter talked near their bench on the field. To be honest, I didn't even know they had this room to use! I still have no idea where it actually is since I was not at this game, lol
