Take a deep breath and relax.Bowden took over a hell hole. You won 1 game in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Then a couple of 5 win seasons. There rest of this year your defense should keep you in every game. Your linebackers as a group are equal to or better than any the Sooners will play the rest of the way. Offense has a long way to go. Need skill player upgrades. Pitt - play ball and get some offense and you can take them at home. Build on that win. A bunch of Sooners are tallking smack but those that know football had good things to say. Sooner d line is stout. Both d are similar. Strong front 7 with questions in the back end. Both fan bases are saying the same thing. Why aren't we trying to establish the run? Well, might be that both o lines are over matched. Gotta run every once in a while to keep the d honest. Hit a few passes to spread out the d. Sooners have been more successful at making that happen. If you can't do that it will be a long second half. You get the ball to start the half. Don't need a 3 and out. Be back at the end of the game.

Nice 1st half for the zips. Solid defense that is getting no help from the offense. About what most expected. The revamped oklahoma offense is getting overwhelmed by your front 7. Gotta get your offense eating some clock or your defense is going be the walking dead in the 4th quarter

It is always a concern with any freshman. They claim he has been kicking the snot out of the ball. Hit a 52 yarder with time running out in the 2 minute drill. Claimed it would have been good from 62.

Currently mixed, at best. A large group think he has gotten lazy and rests on his laurels. Hires his buds and relatives even if they aren't worth a damn. They really dislike his brother Mike. A majority wanted Mike gone last year. Personally, I think that last year hey were two players away from a possible playoff appearance. Qb play was average at best. They were trying to change from a high flying pass offense to a more qb read style passing game. This was out of Josh H's wheelhouse. Didn't work out well. They needed one additional press cover corner. As the year went on the weakness was found and exploited. I still can't say the weaknesses have been addressed. Another 8 or 9 win season and the pressure will be intense.

When I mentioned the temp I was speaking about the fans getting lucky. Visitors sit on the east side and get pounded by the sun. Ain't much fun in 100 degree plus. It is currently 91 at 8:30 pm. What the hell. New Sooner offense. Solid Zip D. Sooners score 31 to 35. I think the Zip offense struggles and puts up 10. 34-10.

I think the Sooner defense is going to be far better this year. I think. D tackle has some questions. Linebackers are deep. Secondary needs one kid to step up and give Sanchez some help. If that happens they will be damn good. More geared towards big 12 spreads vs Old Big 10 type power games. They actually spent some time on a 2-5-4 defense. Late shifts dropping 1, 2, or 3 backers into the line. They have a lot of versitality. Probably going to be more aggressive this year.
