This is starting to remind me of the times when I would call in to ask questions of Gerry Faust on "the CAT" with Joe Dunn (I believe) handling the calls. I didn't receive channels 29 or 35 on my cable package back then, so I would be fooling around with a UHF antenna, phone in my other hand, trying to peak through the snow on the TV while listening to Gerry try to explain why we didn't have Marcel Weems throw the ball more when Can't had 9 defenders on the line of scrimmage on every play during the flushes upset of the Zips at Dix Stadium one year Back to subject, I'd like for Razor to ask JD if he is considering playing both Jacq and Rodgers the 1st game only vs Wisconsin. Not that I want a 2-headed beast again, because I don't. I just think it might make for a good opportunity to see what Matt has to offer "under fire". After the Badgers, I'd go with the guy who played best in that game.

i find it very interesting that jd hasn't committed to jac yet. every time he's asked a question about jac he always mentions rodgers. it appears that rodgers has more talent but lacks experience. it's a tough call as once you give rodgers the keys there's no turning back. i'll still stick with my prediction that he'll be under center for the cuse game

Here's what might be going on. Could it be that CJ11 is truely better than MR right now, but MR might be progressing faster than CJ11? If JD rules out MR right now, MR might bolt, and we're stuck with CJ11. I wouldn't be suprised to see us rotate MR in for a few games to keep both of them hooked until one comes out the clear winner.

What we really need is a blowout win or two, to allow them both to see the field. That's not too likely, however.

I agree with you 19. I would guess CJ to start, but CJ's play will determine how quick we see Rodgers. If his play is great, we hold off on Rodgers, if his play is sub par, well, we will see Rodgers. Isn't that the competition scenario that you try to create as a coach this time of year?
