Am watching ESPN gameday, and they (Jeremy Shaap) have a long feature on Syracuse. Lot's of footage on the Zips, but more looking down on us again. When the 'Cuse AD was asked how many times they should lose to UA in 1000 games, he said NONE!

Just saw it too, at least they didn't spit when they said our name, but it was pretty close. In a way though, this is all great coverage for us, getting yourself out there especially if it causes hand wringing at other programs. Isn't all publicity good supposed to be good publicity?

Tough call, but that how I'm choosing to take it! Imagine thinking that your FBS school should beat another FBS school 1000 out of 1000 times. This blows away 6-sigma! I hope we CRUSH the Orange on the return visit to the Info.

Thanks for the correction, uakronkid I guess I'll have to perform another sacrifice next year and hit Empire Brewing, Clark's Ale House and the incomparable Blue Tusk two years in a row!

I wonder how our players react to this kind of publicity. Is the media view of Akron football that terrible that if you lose to AKRON, you're team has hit rock bottom, a laughing stock?Since when did losing to us become college football's barometer of how sucky a team is?I don't know about you all, but I would be playing with a heavy chip on my shoulder if I was in a Zips uniform this season. Maybe I'm biased but I think we have some damn good players and they're on the verge of pulling together despite all the injuries. GO ZIPS.

Why wait until the season is over? That should be enough to spur on the players this season! And then just carry it through to next season.
