skip-zip
Thanks Rowdy. I guess this makes our early season matchup against VCU a pretty important one. I wonder if we can have our young troops ready in time to compete in that game. It could be a nice boost for us if we can somehow pull that one off. This poll doesn't surprise me. Unless we can prove otherwise, we are just a young team, with few proven players. It is what it is.
The Hip Zip
Sure would be nice if we had CSU on the schedule this year. Why did we stop playing them?Waters has done a great job there and this should be his best team yet.
Districtballer
Thanks Rowdy. I guess this makes our early season matchup against VCU a pretty important one. Unless we can prove otherwise, we are just a young team, with few proven players. It is what it is.It should be a good game. We're looking forward to welcoming you Zip fans to Richmond. Unfortunately the game is scheduled during Winter Break so I'm betting the atmosphere will not be as big as it usually is. VCU is also a very young team but we still have Eric Maynor who is our leader as the lone senior on the squad and preseason POY for our conference. By all accounts we should have Maynor and four sophomores starting, so we are just as inexperienced as the Zips in some ways. That said, it's really not that easy to win in the Siegel Center. I think we've won 84% of our games there since we opened the place several years ago. It certainly looks like you guys brought in some good talent this year though and I'm sure Coach Dambrot will bring a well-coached team into Richmond. We hope you guys will enjoy your stay in Richmond (although I hope without a win!)

I welcome this kind of opposition fan on the board any day. Why can't some of our rivals' fans have this attitude?
