johnnyzip84
I've got 4 tickets to the game Tuesday, and I'm going with 3 new fans who have never seen the Zips play. I can't wait!Last night's 1st round games went mostly to plan, with the notable surprises being Duke, UCLA and Ken Lolla's Louisville losing home games (Link).ESPNU LinkBTW, Ohio State and Oakland play at 1:00 in Michigan today. We get the winner of course.
ZachTheZip
This interactive bracket up on NCAA.com is awesome. It has a gametracker for every game currently being played, and updates the bracket after every result.Click for interactive bracket
bigzipguy
Buckeyes and Grizzlies tied at 0 at the half. Who to root for? Do we want to have to beat the same team we beat earlier this year? Be great to beat them twice , but you know the old saying about having to beat the same team twice in the same year. zippyrifle32
we've already played and beaten both teams, so no matter who the winner is we will have to beat them again. i'm routing for oakland. they didn't score as much on us. w00t
I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with the #5 seed. I had very little faith in the selection committee. I believe that we are a superior team (and had a superior body of work over the course of the season) to Michigan St., but a weak four seed means that if they lose (and I'm predicting that UI-C will beat them in the first round) we get their home game when UI-C, UNC, or LOUISVILLE!!! comes calling for a trip to the Final Four. Unfortunately it would almost assuredly set up a meeting with Wake Forest.Hopefully we get good weather and a HUGE crowd next Tuesday.Edit: Oh, and go Buckeyes... the pleasure of beating them on their own field on senior night AND sending them home for the season would be fantastic. This time we won't give up three goals either.Just call me Nostradamus.
bigzipguy
At the other end of the bracket: Mich 2 U-C Davis 1. Final
Aaron
Even more importantly, Mich St. lost to Ill.-Chicago in PK, so as Akron keeps winning, we can be at home all the way to the finals!!!
