AK-Rowdies in the house

Hey, I've been really busy the past few days and am just now able to post. But I just wanted to give a shout out to the AK-Rowdies for your attendance and performance at last week's Canisius game. You guys were great - and filled both the south and north stands! The fact that the Canisius game was one of the more disjointed, difficult games to watch that I can remember in a very looooooong time makes your unwavering enthusiasm all the more impressive!!! You were as much fun to watch as the game itself! Again, great job and I look forward to watching you guys do your thing tonight against Winthrop! Go Zips!

If the Rowdies have grown to the point where they can fill both sides every game, that would be wonderful for Zips Basketball. Being a student back when JAR Arena first opened, I would have begged and pleaded to get to sit down there. You folks have a great seat for the game, and I just cannot figure out why it's been so hard to get at least that many students to a game. Hopefully, we've reached that point.

correct me if I am wrong, but I think they meant they filled the north and south bleachers... I was not there so I cannot speak from experience, but thats what my guess is... even so, that means there were roughly 200 rowdies there... The sad part is that there are supposedly 1200 students signed up for the rowdies and we can only pull 1/6th of the members to be there for a game?? At the mandatory meeting in the JAR earlier this year, the rowdies filled up the lower west bleaches AND most of the upper west bleachers... we need to get ALL those students out for basketball...

The best part of the game was the "i believe" chant going back and forth between the rowdies in the north and south sides. In previous years, the north end was always quiet and boring, it is good to see that this has changed.
hey now, a few of us (4-5) rowdies have always sat on the North side and held it down somewhat. Obviously you are right it has been pretty lame in the past, but even just 5 of us have been fairly loud (or at least fairly obnoxious) by ourselves. The rest of this year though, WATCH OUT. It's going to be nuts, let's just hope that at least a few hundred more of those other 1100 rowdies start showing up.
