RACER Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 this is more of a b-ball thread, but relates to the new tv deal.i don't understand how on espn there will be alott of women's games on during the week/weekends.yet the mac cannot get any of thier games on espn.you cannot tell me more people watch womens b-ball then men. the mac has no internet broadcast of games like the horizon.u of a does not carry games on the net anymore.then we kill our attendance with weekday games.i realize sometimes to get your games on tv you have to play during the week.the fact is that is hard enough to get fans to mac games during the weekend let alone during the week. when the weather get bad people are not going to bring the kids to 30 degree temps on a school night.i just think the mac lacks any kind of vision.i realize the prodcut has not been good, but the mac has not helped it's self either.the sales/marketing for the conference is terrible. zippyrifle32 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 you cannot tell me more people watch womens b-ball then men.more people watch womens b-ball actually there is a chance that more people would watch nationally ranked and known women's teams play than little known and possibly bad men's teams. i don't have data to back anything up, but it is a possibility. skip-zip Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 What a sad day I think that he and his staff will forever be linked in the minds of many Zips fans to what happened to us at the conclusion of the basketball season two years ago, and what happened to us in soccer this year. I hope the new commish makes a strong commitment to stand up for their conference members, and fight against the injustices that have plaqued us at the national level. Quote
