Dr Z Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 It's soooooo nice to talk about another defense other than the crappy stack. One thing to keep in mind, most teams that run the 3-4 still run some sort of four man front package also. Even the Steelers. The Steelers are able to stay in the 3-4 and run it as effectively as they do because of their depth at LB.The one thing that does concern me is the ability of the OLBs to learn the scheme. It seems like there is a BIG learning curve. It makes good sense that we brought in a big name linebacker coordinator. At the very least I will know what I'm watching when I watch the defense this year. I didn't evenknow who to blame when I watched the crappy stack. Just looked like a bunch of undersized kids drag tackling7 yards downfield. I never want to hear the terms 'rover' and 'bandit' again. I always wanted to see Jason Taylor play in the 3-4, does he have ANY eligibility left? Quote
