ZachTheZip
I don't know if it works for sure, but now we're up to 4.4% and just jumped Baylor and Colorado State. Southern Miss is next.Edit: I don't think it actually works. I'll go back to clearing the cache every time.mathematically, in order for the Zips to advance and move up the ladder, Akron votes will have to account for more than the current percentage of votes (right now 4.4%) per voting cycle. So say each time you vote there are 30 more votes, you're accounting for 3.33% of the votes. If there are even two Akron voters in that time period then Akron will advance, albeit slowly. Get 5 or 10 of us and Akron should be up pretty high by tonight.I wish I could just write a script to vote for me, like I'm sure some of the bigger names are doing. Class of 82
As people have already pointed out on the espn site, teams that have actually won national championships (ie. BYU and Minnesota) are currently left out of this idiotic poll. And it is totally idiotic.Personally, I'd like to see the BCS folks actually try to pull something like this. Their very existance is a violation of federal anti-trust law, but they currently get a pass. They try to pull something like this, and there'd be political and legal hell to pay. Orrin Hatch, top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, is already pissed off about the Utah thing. If they pitched BYU out of the FBS, I think he'd go absolutely postal. ANd for good reason. ZachTheZip
Iowa State down! UConn is next. Overtaking BCS teams is very satisfying.Yeah, the immediate goal should be to pass Indiana and Syracuse. Then we'll be ahead of every team on the schedule not named Penn State.I would like to see Akron in the top 60, for now let's chase down Indiana. ZachTheZip
UConn down. ECU is up next. They're the last team from the C-USA that's ahead of Akron. Knock them off and Akron is tops in the Sun Belt, C-USA, and MAC.

Somebody ahead of us turned on a vote bot.Now 5.8%! The votes jumped up 30,000 in a few minutes. See who's making a meteoric rise.

Maybe your bot theory has credence. Is it a BCS BOT?

ZachTheZip
Just keep voting. Position counts more than percentage, anyway. I think once they see NC State at the top of the standings they'll know something's up.
zipfan85
it's definitely nc state. they're jumping .3% every secondwell it's official. nc state has topped the list. and they are drawing a line only at the top 20 instead of 40. ZachTheZip
Well now that NC State is on top, I hope he turns off the spam bot and then gets IP banned or arrested for an attempted DoS attack on the go.com domain. In other news, we just jumped Indiana. Next stop, the top 80. We're currently at 88. Jumping South Florida puts us in the 70s. That's the next goal.
