ZachTheZip
Anybody else see the gigantic 18-page special on the stadium in the newspaper? Great stuff, tons of articles.Still, I wonder how many tickets it will sell. What I've noticed is that people are more aware of the football program, but they're not at the point where they will begin following it or attending games. Only a winning team can push them over the edge. But it can't just abe a winning team in the MAC, it needs to be one that wins a good amount of non-MAC games too. The Indiana and Syracuse games are the key to that.

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net
It was nice to see the coverage in the BJ today. I think that barring bad weather the first games this year are going to draw really well. After that, well, see my most recent posts regarding the direction of this football program.Regardless, I'll see the rest of the Zips Nation this Saturday!STZ

The excellent graphic from the Beacon Journal only shows one booth for TV cameras, on the press box level and not at midfield. Normally new stadiums have built-in platforms for TV cameras, but I don't see any. And what about the end zone camera? Will they put up scaffolding near the scoreboard? Blue & Gold
As far as the camera angles go, a consultant from ESPN designed the layout. So whatever ESPN wanted, ESPN got. Can't do any better than how the Info is layed out for television.

Can't do any better than how the Info is layed out for television.Yup. I believe the pdf file that had the detailed breakdown of the info was done incorrectly. If you look at the webcams, you can clearly see 3 sets of small windows on the 7th floor. These are, presumably, where TV broadcasting and TV cameras will be placed for the broadcasts, so I believe what the pdf file is saying is an additional radio booth is actually the 3rd press tower camera spot. If we brought in ESPN to put the cameras in the best places for broadcasts, you're pretty well guaranteed it was done right.
Zip Watcher
The image is graphic arts .. not a production blue print. Count the loges .. it's different. The goal of the item was to show how things are laid out .. not the specific details. It's a great piece .. but nothing to get concerned about if you don't see a trash can or something.Go Zips!!! Where will our trash go? Did they bring in Waste Management to strategically place them? Sorry I had to make fun of us, some of the things we question or get concerned about are pretty silly.I do want to see some freaking flagpoles going up soon though.
