vmd9
0-10 on third down. Only heart I've seen has been from Tuzze and Wagner.well what do you expect when Rodgers throws a screen pass every 3rd down! worse than watching brady quinn
ditchrider1
Could we please see Nicely? If they are going to make him run the same BullShip plays it doesn't matter if Joe Friggen' Montana is back there. This is getting embarrassing and I feel for the talented players we have out there.its coaches not players...I agree 100%, I was saying that it doesn't matter who is out there if the coaches force the same crappy plays anyone would fail.I support the players but the coaches... ditchrider1
It is frustrating to watch this team go down, but what good is firing the coach now going to do. If they fire JD, then one of the coordinators is likely going to be the interim head coach until the end of the season when the search goes out to find a new coach. If that is what happens, so be it. Will things stay the same or be different, we don't know. Firing the coach now in week 4 of the season and trying to locate a new coach is going to be difficult with every team playing and those coaches and coordinators concentrating on their team. I guess it can be done, but I think waiting till after the season when a new coach can be greatly searched out would be the best option. You'd want to be sure to find the right guy. If this is what happens, lets hope the search process doesn't take too long as recruiting can be affected. If they do fire JD, I would like the new coach to come from a conference like the SEC, Big 12 or PAC10. Even someone from the WAC from a Boise State would be good too. Lets bring someone in who can make Akron football exciting. We sure have the facilities that are top notch, so lets find a coach who can get this team on top.Nice post! If we fire JD I think it may make a difference. It appears as though some of the team has quit on him and maybe that is what they are pushing for?On the contrary, if firing him doesn't save the season it would damn sure send a message that losing WILL NOT be tolerated at this University anymore!I will continue to attend all games since I have paid for them already but it will be tough to watch the same crap plays called for the next 4 games so I really hope something is done.Go Zi...ah hell. tim123
Could we please see Nicely?please do not...it ain't rodgers fault...the pattern has been the same for THREE years...coaches don't put players in position to succeed...maybe the next bunch of coaches can...It ain't Rodgers, just by that qoute tells me you are not very knowledgeable, he is not a QB. If I can see it why can't the coaches bite the bullet.
RACER
if/when jd is fired.there is still alott of football games to be played against some bad team.i realize we are one of them also.there are 8 games left in the season.jd needs to win 6 of 8 to guarentee is job next year.5 of 8 wins and i think the decison will be a hard one for dr.p. the new a.d. is not going to make this decison.if jd is gone for next year you need a coach who has d-1 coaching experience, and a winning record.that would mean paying millions for a new coach.you would have to steal a coach for another school.that's what the zips need to do,but what will happen is anyones guess.look what alabamadid to get saban.the problem is the mac schools don't bring in the revenue to pay a guy that much money.if akron could get a coach to come in and start winning they would pack a new 30,000 seat stadium every week.that would probabaly be enough to pay for such a move.the whole point of my post is that a decison on who to hire as next coach is not a easy one.economics play a big role in the decison.if we are ever going to win though they need to open up the pocket books. It would cost a fraction of millions for a new coach.
RootforRoo44
NICELY...no more Rodgers. He cannot handle this level of play, he isn't talented enough to hit a receiver in the chest from 6 yards away when wide open. He missed his target on a play like that THREE times today! That's embarrassing.
