More proof of what a special season this isWas looking up NCAA soccer stats through this week and came up with some pretty impressive findings:Started off with seeing Teal Burnbury in the top 20 in both points per game and goals per game, pretty impressive, but then#1. Michael Nanchoff, assists per game (and most assists in a single game this year)#1. David Meves, Goals Against Average and #4 in Save percentagethen in team rankings: #1: Akron - Scoring Offense, Team Goals Against average; Shutout Percentage; Win-Loss percentage, #2 Save Percentage (Stinking Quinnipiac :)).So number one in nationwide offense and defense. Can't get better than that.Take out UIC tonight! 10-0! :NCAAC:

Here is a nice table representation of all of it. And since we need 4 goals to get to exactly a three goals per game average, I'm going to go with a 4-0 Zips win tonight. :)post-1310-1254944683_thumb.jpg

MDzip, WOW! indeed, do we have a machine or not? The big Red machine of the 70s [Cincy] has been reconstituted in the big [choose blue/gold] machine of The U of Akron!

Still at the top, have moved up in several categories. David Meves has not even had to average 1.5 saves per game - only 21 total shots on goal at him with 19 saves - that is an amazing testament to the defense. The leader in Save Percentage category has had almost 90 shots on goal at him. Man, I'd hate to play behind that defense. :NCAAC:med_gallery_1310_36_60500.jpgAs far as tonights game goes, I'm expecting a tough one. 1-0 Zips with goal coming in the second half from Teal Bunbury assisted by Michael Nanchoff.
