MDZip
I gave her credit for a nice article all of the way up until this line:The 64 NCAA tournament teams will be announced on Monday (5:30 p.m. ET, ESPNEWS).The men's side has only 48 teams (the women's tournament has 64 teams - that disparity has always seemed odd to me). UAZipster0305
I thought about writing her an email regarding the fact that we weren't one of her top ten favorites to win the national championship this year.http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...caa&cc=5901I gave her credit for a nice article all of the way up until this line:The 64 NCAA tournament teams will be announced on Monday (5:30 p.m. ET, ESPNEWS).The men's side has only 48 teams (the women's tournament has 64 teams - that disparity has always seemed odd to me). ZachTheZip
The men's side has only 48 teams (the women's tournament has 64 teams - that disparity has always seemed odd to me). There are about 100 more women's teams than men's teams. Men's soccer doesn't have enough teams to support a 64-team tournament without it becoming severely diluted.
meatwad
I thought about writing her an email regarding the fact that we weren't one of her top ten favorites to win the national championship this year.http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...caa&cc=5901I remember that article. It's a complete travesty even for an opinion piece. It seriously appeared that she just threw darts at a board and whatever team it landed on she would put them in her top 10. Nevermind that Akron was #1 in the country in a few polls to start that year. That was nuts.
