meatwad
Related question: How does the pitch look right now? Is it holding up better than last year?Go Zips!Looked good to me still as of last game. The students jumping around in the 18 of the hill side sure won't help that area though. Overall, it's been pretty warm lately which helps a lot. Should be in good shape.
GP1
A Zips fan that doesn't already have a medicine cabinet full of lube? I don't believe it. I buy the stuff by the case at Sam's Club.By the case? I guess we all have our secrets......If you are a fan of Zips athletics and you don't own a case of lube, then then the Lord blessed you with either a very loose, or very wide orifice.I must assume that when a strong wind blows past the Great GP1's posterior, a sound similar to that found in a jug band is produced. With all the losing I've watched, it's more like a foghorn.
ejcool27
I have a hard time believing that were not the 1 seed....I'm sorry the NCAA as much as I hate them two are not that corrupted....A mid major won the Baseball championship last fall....We will be the one or possibly 2 seed.....I mean we were the 5 seed last year with 3 ties and a loss i believe! I guess we will see at 5:
tbozeglav
Tonight will truly show how much of an agenda the NCAA has against mid-major teams and conferences. They've done it before, but never before have they been faced with an overwhelming amount of reason to give us the #1 seed. Undefeated, dominating offense, stifling defense, #1 rank in all the polls, #1 RPI... If Akron is denied the top seed that they rightfully deserve, I sincerely hope the Athletic Department takes action against the NCAA to defend the players and coaches who have dedicated themselves to this University and their performances each game this season. Good luck to the Zips in the selection show... Its our time to shine.
ZachTheZip
Akron is not a "mid-major" when it comes to Men's Soccer any more than Memphis is one in men's basketball.
GoZips
This sets up Virginia with the "easiest" path to the College Cup. as per usual the College Cup isgeared for an ACC winner. It is possible with this scheme to have three of the Final Four teamsfrom the ACC. Plus the two West Coast teams eliminate one or the other. The NCAA is NOT going to seed Akron as the number one seed. Take that to the bank.Looks like I was successful in keeping the NCAA jinx off our butts. The Zips did garner the number one seed. Dare say that I was wrong? A little. The wank from Virginia doing the commentary predicted that Virginia has the easiest path to the nationalchampionship. That belongs, by rights, to the number one seed. He surely does not respect the Zips.Note, too, that "sir wank" has the same Final Four as I predicted the NCAA was playing for save he substituted Notre Dame for UCLA.Its now a five game season. Win five and you go home the national champs. Personally, I think theZips have a pretty good chance if they do not stumble against South Florida like two years ago.
