I have ESPNews on and I've seen nothing on the NCAA tourney selection yet.Edit: I see on the UCONN website where the selection will occur SOMETIME between 5:30 and 6:30. meatwad
It's a great day to be a Zips soccer fan. conspiracy theories go down in flames. #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZachTheZip
ESPN's soccer analyst just said he expects Notre Dame to make it to the Final Four instead of Akron Let ESPN say what they want. They're hanging on ND's balls and they don't care who knows it.
MDZip
This the revenge tour - we can take out South Florida and then possibly finish off Northwestern in the regional final. Its not a bad draw there are a lot of other teams I'd be a lot more worried about and we avoid all ACC teams until the College Cup. This is the tournmament, we're going to face good teams every game. meatwad
No conspiracy? We're likely getting South Florida on Sunday! We beat them fairly handily in a scrimmage. Not too worried about them. It's a good draw overall I think. Can't believe OSU got a 4 seed?!?! We destroyed them.

MDZip
Talk about a tough opening round game - Louisville vs. Indiana. I will be rooting for OSU to make the final four as well, I think we match up very well with them and I'd far rather face them than UNC in Raleigh, NC. I want UNC to lose as early as possible. That's looking pretty far ahead though, just one game at a time right? And as far as Notre Dame, even if they survive the opening round (not a given), I don't think they get past Northwestern. bigzipguy
How in the world did Indiana get in, they are not playing well at all - gave up 4 goals to OSU in big ten tournament??
meatwad
How in the world did Indiana get in, they are not playing well at all - gave up 4 goals to OSU in big ten tournament??They had an RPI in the top 20. Their record was not great, but they played a heck of a schedule. Plus they are in the Big 10 so that didn't hurt.
MDZip
How in the world did Indiana get in, they are not playing well at all - gave up 4 goals to OSU in big ten tournament??They had a #6 RPI, but did not get seeded, so RPI doesn't mean everything. I'm telling everyone I know that the Zips got a #1 seed, regardless of whether they care or not.

ZachTheZip
How in the world did Indiana get in, they are not playing well at all - gave up 4 goals to OSU in big ten tournament??Because they're Indiana. So long as they have a winning record of any kind, they'll be in. They're hosting a first-round game, which means that the NCAA will at least get one high-attendance (which means more $$$) game out of them. MDZip
Am I looking at the bracket incorrectly, or is North Carolina listed twice??The #15 seed should be North Carolina St.
johnnyzip84
Not only is Indiana IN, but according to the story below (link) #12 seed Butler has to GO ON THE ROAD to face the winner of IU and Kenny Lola's Louisville squad. May the conspiracy theorists sink their teeth into THIS one!LinkAll in all I like the bracket from the Zips standpoint. We can't complain. Apparently they play homes games in the "Butler Bowl", an ancient (built in 1928) multi-purpose facility in Indy that is home to both the Bulldog Football and Soccer teams. It seems very likely that the soccer pitch dimensions would be restricted by a structure this old. It's interesting that Butler got in as an at-large, losing the Horizon championship to Green Bay. Butler already owns a 2-1 victory over the Hoosiers IN Bloomington. Butler Bowl Wiki

I think I guessed correctly right off the bat...
