ZachTheZip
Who to root for...Stanford has the name recognition (helps when talking to the "sports fans" in the area), but Irvine gives you more respect with people more familiar with the tournament. ZachTheZip
Stanford seems to have a great goalie, but a soft defense.
ZachTheZip
Stanford wins 1-0. I hope they bring their drunk tree.Their win means that 50% of the seeded teams were eliminated in their first match. Poor seeding on the NCAA's part.Stanford won't be able to play like they did against Irvine if they want to have any chance at all against Akron. Zip_ME87
Since the Zips are regular season "Big Ten Champs", it's only fitting to take on a Pac-10 Team. Go Zips!

Go Zips!So what are you suggesting? Throw roses on the field Sunday? Have a parade on Thursday? Only problem with that is, I believe UCLA is PAC-10 champs. We might meet them in N.C.
