joshgozips
As of Tuesday night, weather.com is calling for 44 degrees and Mostly Sunny skies in Cary, North Carolina with a 10% chance of rain on Friday. Combine that with 50 degrees and partly cloudy on Thursday and hopefully that means a dry, quality field - perfect for our uptempo speed of play. West Coast Zip
Next 2 days look good down here, so it should give the field a chance to dry out. That's good since Raleigh got pounded with a rainstorm early Wed. morning. Its already been wet for the last few weeks and everything is saturated right now. WakeMed is a top notch facility, too, so they should have things ready to go. Gametime temp looks like it wil be in the upper 30's and falling. Here's the best local weather info...http://www.wral.com/weather/
skip-zip
I'm hoping for extreme cold, heavy winds, and snow. Anything to give us an advantage. Some of those kids down south have probably never had to play in those conditions.
GP1
I'd just like to remind everyone that regardless of how cold it is out or how hot it is out, it's always 72 degrees on a barstool.

I don't know how much of an advantage it will be if our guys are frozen too. Of course, as much as they run it will warm them up but the goalies...not so much. No ill wishes though, let's all enjoy this game and I hope to be watching the Zips on Sunday.
UA Fan
Well, the field looks good, on TV at least, and the Wake/VA players don't seem too bothered by the cold. Thankfully it's not precipitating. Looks like it will be about 29 degrees to start game 2. Futbol weather !

Thankfully the result made it all worthwhile. Only TRUE Akron fans will be there on Sunday for the final. There's a 90% chance of rain, although the temperatures should be a bit warmer. See y'all there!

See y'all there!I wouldnt go overboard here. The field conditions were far from excellent, multiple times players from both teams slipped and went down. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it but with the forcasts calling for almost an inch of rain sunday, this field might be terrible. It could be a disaster. I drove the two hours to Raleigh, went to dinner at the Oyster Bar and went to Tobacco Road to watch the game on high def and have a few more beers. I'm actually going to try to go to the game tomorrow.
