Zipmeister
Any sell outs possible this year? haha maybe just the Indiana and Kentucky games!...I think the closest we get is just over 20000 vs syracuse and GW we'll hear crikets, probably no better than that temple attendance last yearIndiana doesn't sell out when OSU comes to town, and if they do it is b/c 1/2 are OSU fans.I expect a nice crowd for the Syracuse and Northern Illinois games. Anything else will be tough. For the GW game, they should promote perhaps a 50/50 raffle and/or a combination of that and some $$$ to charity. Something big will have to be done there to get attendance up. Of course, if they beat Syracuse, GW game might not be too bad. STUDENTS, STUDENTS, STUDENTS will be the key for those first couple games.Ergo, the GW game might not be too bad. I guaranty those Orangemen are going to be in for a world of hurt. And I will be there to join in the revelry that will usher in a new era of winning ZIPS football! Man, I can't wait. There would be nothing sweeter than starting off the season, and the RI regime, by winning the "rubber game of the match" against Syracuse. It sure beats breaking in a new staff against Salem-Tokyo (as they are known in the present) or the Hurons (as they were known in the past). 25 point bonus to whomever correctly names Dennison's 1st game opponent (road game) and his first home opponent. AT Delaware , Butler-home 50 point bonus for the same info for Larsen. At Wittenberg , Denison- HomeOn September 4. the campus atmosophere will be fantastic! Allow me to buy you one, dreal! Go Zips!!!DING-DING-DING!!! Winner winner, chicken dinner NOT SO FAST THERE 84. I believe you just awarded my chicken dinner to a dupe who fell for your trick question. Akron has never had a football coach named Larsen. There was an student-athlete by that name back in the 60s/70s who played soccer and was on the swim team. If the contest had asked about Gordon Larson I would go with at Wittenburg and Denison, but since it asked about Larsen I am going to be forced to correctly answer cannot be determined until we hire a coach by that name. johnnyzip84
Well according to this source, his name was actually Gondon Larson But, I do stand corrected once again by ZN's resident general editor, the Meister. BTW, the source below is the most convenient (by far) I've found when researching the score of a particular college football game of the past.Link

How do I collect on the chicken dinner?

GJGood
..... And coming next year? 3 unathletic forwards? That just screams "Mid-American Conference."Guess you haven't been reading about Josh Egner in the recruiting forum.Actually, that quote of mine was slightly edited by the moderator. And rightly so (thank you). But, sadly, it sounds as if, excluding Zeke, Egner will easily be our most explosive athlete next year. Man, what's that say about the caliber of athlete on the team now? Where are the hops? Where are the rim-rattlers? Where are the players salivating on every fastbreak opportunity?Sure, CMU loses LeFevour and NOW they take them off our schedule. Actually finishing where we did last year I was kind of surprised that we aren't playing EMU in Ypslanti in 2010.

Actually finishing where we did last year I was kind of surprised that we aren't playing EMU in Ypslanti in 2010.CMU had a good recruiting class and has a lot of solid performers returning. Still one of the top 4-5 teams in the MAC according to "experts" for what it is worth. Playing them would have been better than Northern Illinois, but still a good "miss" on the schedule for this year.
