jaycevs
I'm sure people on here know about it, I'm just wondering after watching a Glen Oak kid take Lehgh to the tournament as a freshman, and averaged 19 points a game. If we did not go after him, that was a mistake, as it could have solved the scoring guard problems the Zips have had, and an offensive player that can play. ZachTheZip
He wouldn't have played as a freshman because Dambrot doesn't believe that freshmen can contribute.
jaycevs
Someone posted the other day in analysis of the season that we needed players that are no role players, that can flat out ball. He can flat out ball, he started bad last night, but they stayed in striking distance with Kansas, I saw him getting tip ins, and wanting the ball on offense. It just sucks to see a local kid taking another team to the tournament.
Blue & Gold
Good post. I had been meaning to mention this. We couldn't have offered McCallum (sp?) a scholly because we only had one to give - and that was going to Zeke. But none-the-less, after watching CJ, I can't believe larger schools weren't after him. He is very skinny. That's the only reasoning I can see behind him not being offered by bigger schools. What'd he have last night? 19? Man, that's pretty sweet vs. Kansas! I wish he was a Zip! Jcal1stdown
Not to take a shot at Akron but Lehigh has geniuses all across the campus. Maybe he just wanted to get an exceptional education and play basketball at the same time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Lehigh does not hand out athletic scholarships.
