akron football
Well fellow zipsters what will the record be after Coach I's first year?
RACER
the occ schedule is going to be to difficult.i think the zips finish 4-8.
Big Zip
Can't predict anything at this point....I certainly haven't been impressed with any of the information leaking out or being reported about him and his staff at this point. Funny thing is the past coaching staffs have been better at print and things were worse on the field so maybe this is a good sign. I'll be at the Spring Game next week to see what the team has learned.
zip37
Waaaay too soon to tell, but I'm hoping for .500, but I'm still getting season tics for soccer!
skip-zip
I'll HOPE for the "new coach effect" to produce a much-better-than-expected 7 wins, much like our success at the beginning of the JD era. I'll be VERY HAPPY with 6 wins. I'll be SATISFIED with 5 wins, and a feeling that we are getting better. But...my honest thinking is that we don't have the personnel to get more than 4 wins with this schedule.

The net effect of losing some wideouts will be depreciated because our offense will be more balanced. The defense will be better against the run just considering our alignment change. Running the ball to chew some clock will reduce the amount of time we have to shoot ourselves in the foot. With a little luck, and the maturation of some young skilled players, I don't think a 6-7 win season is too much. 8 would be awesome. akron football
ok here goes....I think since last year we where winning going into the fourth quarter in every game but Temple, barring injury we will win seven games maybe more if the players can grasp the new offense and defensive concept. This team needs to have the "No Excuses mentality"there comes a a time in your football career that you need to man up and quit with the excuses. They need to listen and learn, you only have one shot at this so let's hope that the team embraces the new coaches. That's what I'm talking about!! That's what I'm talking about!! well i wanna get the ridiculous prediction out of the way before eveyone else does. im saying we go 12-0 in the regular season, plus win the mac champiship game, and winning a BCS game pushing our total to 14-0. anyway on a serious note, its gonna be extremly difficult to win more than 4 or 5 games this season, for a few reasons. completely new offensive and defensive schemes, losing most of our recievers, plus playing a true sophmore at QB. i understand how good PN played last year as a freshman, but now he has the toughest job of all the players on the team, he has to relearn the whole offense, not just one position, after having a completely other system burned into his brain. However all that being said ive seen crazier things happen, IE, butler going to the NCAAB championship for one so im saying 4 wins but if some crazy stuff happens 6 is probably the most we could win. I expect more in RI 2nd season. this will be a "rebuilding year". Heres to alot and its 7:57 pm and Can't still sucks
Zipmeister
I'm counting on every team we play to being worse than they were last year, and us going 6 and 6.
goodthts
I predict the Zips will play at least 12 games this year.
