Z.I.P. Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/soun...sounders29.html Thank's mes. I know this was on gozips.com, but it fills in a lot of blanks we old time Zakuani fans have about his story. For example: "Zakuani traveled across Europe to find a new team. He tried out with the senior teams of Queens Park Rangers and Wigan in England, then to AZ Alkamaar in Holland and Real Valladolid in Spain." He had to be invited to train with those (first division, except QPR) clubs, which is proof of his abilities prior to landing in Ohio. And, "With that talent — Zakuani hopes to debut with the Congolese national team in the next year or so — comes the opportunity to give back." The salsa guy at the farmers' market last week was wearing a "Congo" national jersey. I thought he must be a fan, and started talking up Steve-o. Ends up he found it at Ross's for $4.95 or something. lol. Quote
