Z.I.P.
Fox Soccer Channel will broadcast the New York Red Bulls home game against Chivas USA on Saturday at 7:30 EST from the new Red Bulls Arena in lovely Harrison NJ. Sinisa Ubiparipovic starts at LW for the Red Bulls, while Blair Gavin and Ben Zemanski start across the center midfield for los chivos de Chivas. Both teams are in big-time slumps. I believe CD Chivas a four-game losing streak in league, and Red Bulls three-game losers (though they did beat lowly Juventus in a friendly)? Both sides are frantic for a 'W'. Over-under on attendance? 10,000 anyone?
bmaker
I'll be tuned in. As for the attendance, unfortunately I don't see this match being a big draw. Put me in the "under" column.
Zip_ME87
I'll be tuned in, too, unless I decide to drive to Pontiac to see a number of our current Zips play as the Cleveland Internationals face the Michigan Bucks. Since the Bucks play indoor, the weather will be of little concern. I agree that the Red Bulls vs Chivas crowd will likely be <10,000. Spin
Yeah thanks for the info. Got my DVR set in case I don't make it back home in time.
bmaker
Sinisa pulls a hamstring early in the first half and has to leave the game. Also, Ben Z almost nets his first MLS goal with a wicked strike that bounces off the bar.
Zip_ME87
It was a good watch. Too bad Sinisa got hurt and had to leave. The FSC announcers sure gave the "Akron Zips" and the "Akron connection" much more love than those morons who announce Crew games on ONN.
