Zip_ME87 Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Teal scored the only and winning goal. I believe it was his first MLS goal, and KC's 1st road win this season. Teal started and played the entire game. After his goal, he went to the sideline and saluted the crowd, just like last season with the Zips. ONN would not show who he was saluting, if anyone in particular. If anyone reading this was there, was he saluting AK-Rowdies or other Zips' fans in the crowd? Go Zips! EDIT: KC 1, Col 0 Bunbury returned to Ohio where he played last season for the University of Akron and scored his first MLS goal in the 14th minute to end KC's 339-minute scoreless streak. Wizards Manager Peter Vermes had made two changes to the starting lineup from last week’s 2-0 loss to Chivas USA, with midfielder Craig Rocastle going for Jack Jewsbury and Bunbury taking the place of forward Josh Wolff. Three games and 69 minutes without a goal. I wouldn't expect KC to suddenly become a title contender -- or likely even a playoff contender -- but I'd sure look for Teal Bunbury to get a lot more playing time in the next weeks, if the KC coach wishes to keep his job. the only other real goal scorer on their side is Kei Kamara, and there aren't many defenses that he scares. By the way, would FSC and other announcers please learn his name -- it's pronounced Kay, not Kai! Oh, well. Way to go Buns. Now if Seattle can just win a game -- think they're on ESPN2 on Thursday. Columbus takes on NYRB on Saturday -- will Thierry Henry be in uniform?? Quote
