OK..it is early for him and Miami, but Haywood has that team at 2-1 this year after a 1-11 season to start. He was known as a recruiter (not as well known as Ianallo in that regard), has changed Miami from some form of the spread to some form of the I-formation/pro set. He worked under many coaches and at many programs without leading a program. He is about the same age as Ianallo, and, of course, both worked together under Weiss. Biggest differences= he was an OC at ND for a few years (though I think Weiss was REALLY the OC) and he did play Division 1 football at ND. Temple was terrible before Al Golden...and pretty damn bad in his 1st year. It is hard to step back and not have the mentality of "here we go again, Akron".
