zipsbandman
So if we were somehow able to beat NIU, we would get snubbed out of a bowl again? Or would the Motor City bowl just take whoever is MAC champion?
Zippy989
So if we were somehow able to beat NIU, we would get snubbed out of a bowl again? Or would the Motor City bowl just take whoever is MAC champion? I thought I read MAC Champ is guaranteed a slot in Motor City Bowl. If Zips win, NIU would be screwed by Toledo... not right... not right at all.... Might as well have BG accept the MCB bid now too... then we can just cancel the MAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME because it is MEANINGLESS!!!
NIU79
NIU-Akron winner gets MCB invite. The season is over for the losing team. Doesn't get any simpler than that.

NIU wins a blowout that no one attends or watches on TV. Huskies by at least 24!!!!!!! Go Zips, enjoy your trip.
Dr Z
If we win, we derserve to go to a bowl game, If we don't win, we do NOT deserve to be in a bowl game. That would be exactly what we get for losing to Army. Beat NIU AGAIN and don't worry about it. Zips D Wolfe

This guy must be a bitter Can't fan who has never even sniffed a MAC title game and never will. Huskies by 24? Who knows, maybe, but I doubt it. If the first meeting is any indication then the Zips will be heading back to Detroit after Christmas. How many of you guys received a call from the UA ticket office? They called today to ask if I was going to the game. I would assume that they are trying to contact all of the season ticket holders. That's an effecticve sales approach. We need the nation to show up 15 - 20,000 strong. Go Zips!

Kangaroo Craig
Yeah, I know its a reach, but we need to be optimistic and just hope for a good turnout.
msopher
Let's see, if NIU loses they will be 7-5. Toledo is 8-3. Which team would choose?

I'm glad our bowl hopes now stand in our hands rather than 50 other teams.
