Among them are current K.E.N.T. DC Pete Rekstis, ZipRoo's man-crush Luke Fikell, and CHUCK FREAKIN MARTIN! I sure hope it's not the 3rd guy.

Sadly, he of course is the former Grand Valley St. HC that a few of us wanted at UA almost 1 year ago. Perhaps the good news is that Grand Valley has OK without him?

I'd be awfully nervous if they end up hiring Chuck Martin. He guided Grand Valley State to a 74-7 record over 6 years! That's sick! Even if Brian Kelly gets credit for origianally building GVSU's program, Chuck Martin sure did one heck of a job sustaining it - and with his own recruits. The dude obviously knows how to coach.

On the other hand, I suppose there is a big difference between D-II & FBS. Idk, for the record, I was one of the folks who emailed TW suggesting Chuck for our HC vacancy. But TW's paid to know more than I do, so go iCoach! Go Zips!

I sent him a similar email B&G. I asked if Martin, Winters, Bohl (NDSU), or Farley (Northern Iowa) would be considered. He did answer me with something like a few of those were being considered, but that I would REALLY like the guy they had in mind. I had another work email address at the time, so I don't have that response anymore Did you receive a similar response?
