So the Zips currently have 2 TV outlets .. the Time Warner local cable angle, and ONN for statewide broadcasts. Perhaps there's another outlet here that maybe soon available to pimp the Zips in blanket coverage of NE OH.

New Regional Sports Channel .. Check Me Out!

This is from the PD today. Seems the Tribe has realized they can bank more $$$ by running their own regional sports network. They're partnering w/ Time Warner which will soon own the majority of our cable homes, with the recent / pending acquisition of Adelphia. The network will aparently be included as a part of basic cable with no additional fees and they are working to make it available on Dish & DirecTV.

Now THIS smells like a huge opportunity for UAM to work his magic again.

They're starting a network for the Tribe .. great news. But how much programming (especially offseason) can they really devote to Indians only coverage? Don't you think they'd like to leverage some other local sports of interest to keep advertisers happy in the hot stove months?

What better way than to become the regional cable home of the Zips! Tribe in the summer, Zips in the fall and winter. The network will already have the road crews and trucks, so they can start broadcasting all of the road games for us and the rising Zips Nation!.. No chance for FSN to control what we see & when .. it will be dialed in locally.

UAM for AD!!! Regardless.

:cheers::cheers:

Go Zips!
