RootforRoo44 Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Nice collection... i have some videos and pics im accumulating on a page at ASN. Feel free to check them out and take any videos to add to this. Quote
meatwad Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Ok, so I set my DVR for the game, but I failed to add on "additional time" for the potential runover. It stopped recording with about 4:30 left in the game. My question is this: would it be possible for someone technologically inclined to make a video file of the entire game(s) for upload somewhere. I know there might be copyright issues, but I figured it was worth a shot. Would loooove to have both of those games archived in their entirety. Quote
mes102 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I know that the match will be on ESPNU today at 4:30pm...And just found this on youtube: team returns: Quote

Just set the DVR to record the entire match (I'm assuming this time it will fit in the time allotted) Now, to find that Michigan game... Perry's goal was incredible and I'd like to have that too! I would absolutely love this just for record-keeping sake. I've been putting together a folder on my computer full of pictures, video, and whatever else I can get my hands on. Quote

Once the game records for me today I will figure out some way to get it to a video file, even if it takes me some time. I'll try to do the same with the Michigan game (I know someone that has the whole game recorded). Quote
jem101 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I was wondering if there was some way to record ESPN3. I know they usually have games available for replay for about a week. I've got the games DVR'd, but all it takes is one person trying to free up space for those to be gone forever. Quote
jem101 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I found a free demo software that allowed me to record my desktop and the audio coming out of the speakers. I just finished recording the game off of ESPN3.com and it seemed to work great. The only drawback is that your computer becomes virtually useless for the two hours + that the game is recording. Also, your computer needs to be in a quiet area of the house given that the program picks up any ambient noise also. The software can be found over at cnet.com. Hope this helps. Quote

I'm sure someone had to have found a new way by now. Quote

meatwad Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I might have solved my own problem... apparently Directv has software that I didn't know about that allows you to directly stream from your DVR to your PC. Pretty cool thing actually. I'm surprised I'd never heard of it. Now all I need to do is find some video and audio editing software that will capture what's happening on my screen and I'm good to go. I'll report back on my progress. Quote
