The UA-NIU game will be re-broadcast on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 3 p.m. (EST) on ESPNU, the collegiate outlet for ESPN. The Zips face Memphis on Monday, Dec. 26 in the Motor City Bowl.

The University of Akron football team's first-ever appearance in a Division I-A bowl game is less than two weeks away and the department of athletics, in conjunction with Classic Teleproductions of nearly Twinsburg, has produced "Countdown to Motown," a preview of the Motor City Bowl.

Thirty-minute Motor City Bowl television show

Did anyone watch the show? It was a glorified commercial really. Kind of reminded me of the Buckeyes show FSN has on Sunday mornings. It was nicely done for the most part. Bacon seemed like a stiff. Liked the player interviews, the commerical with Charlie, and seeing the guys getting fitted for their rings. The highlights of D. Williams show he is pretty tough. Of course they showed his best but still looks much more difficult to bring down than Wolfe. I'm sure JD has a plan to "contain" DW because that seemed to be what he was saying. I hate that phrase.
