The Yanks Abroad blog has projected their USA team for the London Olympics next Summer. Perry and Zarek are listed as starters. But, what REALLY impresses the Zip in Paradise is: 19 y.o. local boy Bobby Shou Wood getting the start at forward ahead of people like Teal Bunbury and Jack McInerney. Is Lletget a forward or AM? I also can't help thinking the name "Barson" has to be in contention at CB. Remember, the Olympics is a U23 event for men (no age restriction for the women's teams).

Teal Bunbury is a bench player for Sporting KC. He might as well try to play for Canada's NT, his USMNT days look bleak.

Your post should be placed on Bunbury's locker at Livestrong Stadium! He needs some motivation. :D

Teal is definitely in a funk and he has been there for a while now. However I don't think he is done with the USMNT. Remember, he is only 21 and there is still plenty of season left and plenty of career left. He has proven that he has the talent, and you don't just lose talent for no reason. I'd say he has just lost his confidence. Everyone knows Teal is good. When he didn't get the call up for the Gold Cup, MLS ran a whole article about him not getting selected, which obviously means they thought he should have (honestly, we know why Bradley didn't pick him, but he couldn't have possibly been more of a bust than Wondo was). I have faith that Teal will be back, something just has to change. Either way, though, I am excited for this team. I had been waiting to hear predictions for the squad cause I was counting on at least Perry being listed, and I am glad to see Zarek got his name tossed in the mix too. Before any call ups are made though, they need to name a coach, and while it's a little far fetched, there is a chance that Caleb Porter's name could be in the discussion for this team. Wouldn't THAT be great?

It's going to be hard for Teal to get out of his funk while riding the bench. Sapong and Bravo are playing very well, you can definitely see more life in the attack when both of those players are in. Only way Teal plays is if he can play midfield or when those players need a rest.

We don't know what goes on behind the scenes in practice. The one who can correct this is Teal, and I hope he doesn't have this defeatist attitude. If SKC decides Teal no longer has a place in their lineup, they may find it more valuable to trade him for someone who fills another hole in their lineup. Teal is young and talented. While it is disappointing to see him on the bench, I believe his career (in the starting lineup) is far from over. (I'm disappointed that SKC only seems to play Teal with Kamara in the lineup from what I've seen. I'd like to see him paired with Sapong or Bravo.)
