You could have played the same tournament a week later and it would have been someone else, and probably repeated it again a week after that and had a different outcome. OU got it done when it counted, and they get all the credit for that, but to suggest your championship as somehow indicating your overall basketball superiority is homerism at its best. Same with our MAC football championship. Are we well coached? Yep. Could it play out differently if we had to play NIU again? Hell, yes. We played them tight twice in the year. I sure wouldn't want to face Wolfe again.One of the attributes of the MAC East basketball is our parity. From my experience at hundreds of MAC games, that has to be one of the best student sections in the MAC.Also kudos to the AK-Rowdies for providing entertianment at the game last night. And yes, next year you will lose to us in football--I guarantee that. We will be much improved and vying for the East title.
