Roo Posted October 21, 2011 Report Share Posted October 21, 2011 ESPN LinkWhile this doesn't directly affect UA recruiting, it highlights the difficulty poor game performance poses for any coach regardless of "recruiting reputation".Which is something that always boggled my mind...as an athlete I was not positioned with the option (I played NAIA basketball) but given the choice, I would much rather go to a little bit of a smaller school, mid major, get a chance to play sooner and have a chance at success than go to a school like Indiana, who is never going to be competitive in the Big Ten, wait to play and then endure five losing seasons.I get you get more gear, maybe a bigger fan base, and it's a "name" school....but I will never get why borderline players choose that route. Just a thought.Wasn't sure myself...I just recall a couple of people giving me crap because I backed a writer that stated the look of uniforms plays a major role in recruiting.
