bobbyake
Now that the NFL season has come to a close, we can do either 2 things; talk about arena football or talk about the draft.I think Hixon will go in the middle of the 6th round. Quickzips
I hate to say it but I'm really getting the impression that he will likely be an Undrafted Free Agent.
bobbyake
You may be right, but lets hope he does better. I think we all know he'll be playing in the NFL next year.
Quickzips
Yeah, I could definitley see him playing a role on special teams somewhere but he is gonna have to work hard for it. It doesn't help anything for him that he is such a huge freak about his motorcycles. Teams are going to back off of him because of that. And lets face it, once you get past the first two rounds (he isn't getting drafted there) or so then NFL recievers are a dime a dozen. TXZipFan
Hixon has the talent... alot of whether or not he gets drafted will depend upon how he fairs at the NFL Combine. I think Hixon will do very well in the NFL because he hasn't been playing the WR position for a long time and he is only gonna get better. Dan Kadar
Hixon has the talent... alot of whether or not he gets drafted will depend upon how he fairs at the NFL Combine. He wasn't invited.
fear the brown roo
i would imagine his not getting invited to the combines tells us a lot about his draft status. he didn't have a great game in the MCB. is there going to be a senior day in the field house like last year? that would be his chance to impress scouts. GP1
Hixon will not be drafted. The best he can hope for is to get with a team as a free agent and then make the team on special teams. This is a really hard way to make the NFL. I give him a 50/50 chance.
msopher
One of my buddies, whose Dad is one of the VP's for Akron says Hixson will go first day. I told him he was nuts. Hixson may go day 2 at best, but definitely is a FA signing.
TXZipFan
Yea your buddies father is a little too optimistic... but I think he will get drafted, watch out for the Broncos to deal with Hickson due to the J.D.-Shanahan ties to come into play there. Just a guess...
Valpo Zip
It is too bad that Hixon did not perform in the MCB which definitely hurts his chances. I don't think he will get drafted (hope i am wrong though) but i think that he should get an undrafted FA contract somewhere... I mean if Josh Cribbs can do that, he definitely should do it as well. I would pick Hixon ahead of cribbs both as a receiver and a kick returner.
