ZachTheZip
I've been looking all over for this. Here it is. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/in...sistant_ro.html "We have the pieces in place to be successful immediately," the AD said after he fired Brookhart. "This is not a rebuilding job. The cupboard is full."

zen
I've been looking all over for this. Here it is. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/in...sistant_ro.html "We have the pieces in place to be successful immediately," the AD said after he fired Brookhart. "This is not a rebuilding job. The cupboard is full." I remember that. Not just the statements, but also the context. The motivating thought: "Some may be excited by change, but we are threatened by lost ticket sales and fan interest if it looks like we are giving up and starting over. Hence, we must reassure (propagandize) that the immediate future will not appear dismal." I remember that's what I thought at the time. I wanted to just say "oh shut up and get to work." I was hoping that it was true, but that was just hope. I felt like things would probably stay the same or get slightly worse for a year, then trend upward....... IF, Ianello was who he was billed to be. Even though I wasn't a fan of the move, I didn't think at the time that the wagon wheels would completely fly off and everything thing would be a disaster a year later. ... and yes, they probably called it "marketing" in their meetings, but it was propaganda, and the propaganda this year was that setbacks were expected as a apart of the plan. Now... after two years.... there is no way to spin it. It's far far far too sh1tastic to propagandize. The only thing they can say is "we don't want to make the mistake of starting over yet again", which no matter which way you say it, is an admission that everything you said before was complete BS
Dave in Green
"This is not a rebuilding job. The cupboard is full." To paraphrase President Roosevelt after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor: A quote which will live in infamy. Honestly, based on the results of the last two seasons, this simple statement stands as a damning indictment of someone's ability to evaluate existing player talent, the ability of the new coaching staff to properly make use of that talent, or some combination of the two. There's just no other way to get from a full cupboard to 2-22.

Blue & Gold
I'm almost certain iCoach echoed those sentiments. Hence my signature. I could be wrong.

However, the L against Gardner-Webb should definitely be included. Pathetic.
