Blue & Gold
Here is the link for today's Wayne State -vs- Minnesota Duluth game. Just click on the game & it'll take you to the live stream page. 1:00 p.m. [Edit]: You may want to keep in mind that Minn-Duluth is the #1 ranked team in the country, so Wayne State is the decided underdog. I guess Minn-Duluth is a powerhouse, so this may not be the best game to watch to get a first impression of a Paul Winters team.

ziptrumpet87
Attendance there seems similar to UA's final few games... What's with no marching at halftime? They have a band!
Dave in Green
Heating up. WSU goes up 14-3, and MD comes right back with a kickoff return and 2-point conversion to make it 14-11.

Dave in Green
Really heating up. Long TD pass by WSU, and a 21-11 lead. Then a fumble by MD on the kickoff, and WSU has the ball on the MD 38.
ZachTheZip
The score is less important to me than his playcalling and motivating ability. How do those look against the supposedly top team in D-II? Is he getting the most out of a team with less talent?

Dave in Green
Now 24-18 early in the 4th quarter. Offenses starting to run wild.
Zipgrad01
Now 24-11. I like what I am seeing, but watching this game reveals how big of a jump it is from a D2 school to a D1A. This looks like a glorified D1 high school game.

ZachTheZip
I kind of want Wayne State to win because it gives us a few more days to evaluate other candidates.

Those teams aren't THAT much more talented.

ZachTheZip
On to the semis for Paul Winters. Another week to look for the very best candidate for us.
johnnyzip84
Whether he gets the UA job or not, it's nice to see a Winters' team win some games like this because the Zips usually came out on the wrong end of these wild ones under LO. A couple things stand out: 1) I saw a lot of the same offset I formation Paul used at UA. 2) The Warrior O-line does a nice job of continuing their blocks and blocking downfield. 3) Wayne St has MAC caliber players at the skill positions, minus the depth. It's hard not to be impressed with them winning 3 straight on the road.
Big Zip
Is Paul coaching himself into a better job? That would be damn funny. Everyday we continue search the harder this recruiting class is going to be hit.
