Ray McCallum goes off for twenty-one points which included two deliberate

misses at the free throw line late in the game.

Detroit renamed their court after former head coach thee Dick Vitale and

honored him with a win over Big East St. John's Red Storm 69-63.

Good win for the Titans and reaffirms the quality of Akron's blow out win

over these same Detroit Titans.

They added that Anderson after the 64-61 loss to YSU on Thursday. He played against CSU in that loss. Holman dressed today but is still out. When he gets back, Detroit will really become a force.

But yes, very nice win for you guys, especially by 18!

From early returns, this appears to be shaping up as one of those college basketball seasons when there's an unusual number of teams that can upset much higher-ranked teams and then turn around and lose to much lower-ranked teams. It just has a more wide open feel to it than recent seasons. The Zips appear to be far from alone in their big ups and downs. It's going to be fascinating to see who's hot and who's not at the end of the season.

St. John's was the only team that Mississippi State didn't play out of the four at the Garden, so it's nice to see one of our opponents we already beat, finally get that 4th team to lose to a team that lost to Akron...FINALLY ;)

And Milwaukee is blowing out DePaul. Who would have thought the Horizon would be 2-0 against the Big East in one night!

Crazy year in college basketball. The talent level between the mid-majors and the big conferences is diminishing!

Detroit beat Western Michigan tonight, 92-81. Halftime score was 61-39.

Remember how some were predicting how good WMU was going to be this season?

Tonight's loss leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Yeah, but they have played a killer schedule. Detroit got Holman back tonight and he was huge in his first game back. W Mich probably still has a decent shot at winning the west.
