ZachTheZip Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Tonight there's only one game, and the other five are tomorrow. Tonight Ball State plays at Toledo. It's surprising to see two MAC West teams with an overall winning record play at this point in the season. Quote

MDZip Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 It doesn't seem that long ago that Toledo was the #1 seed and knocked us out in the semis. In reality that was six years ago, the last time we didn't make the final. Quote
Dave in Green Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Toledo plays Ball State tough and ties the game, 68-68, with 7 seconds left. But Jerrod Jones scores a layup with the clock expiring to secure a narrow 70-68 win for the Cardinals. Quote

In reality that was six years ago, the last time we didn't make the final. Toledo was actually the #7 seed that year while the Zips were the #3 seed. But the Rockets WERE the #1 seed the next year (2007), before Miami took them out in the semis. Let's not bother with the rest of this story! Quote

MDZip Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Zips are also the only team in the MAC that started out with two road games so its even more impressive. Quote
