bobbyake Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Akron has been making great strides in growing popularity in NE Ohio, but that's probably going to start slowing down if OSU does something in this tournament. I think we all know how people in this area are. I'd love to see Akron beat OSU in the tournament if they get a chance to play each other. That would be a slap in the face to all the local front runners. Quote
zen Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 haha, yeah. *smack* Back to reality. Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 They would probably lobby to get seeded in a different bracket to avoid a potential loss to an in-state school. That way they can continue to claim supremacy without actually playing for it. Quote
Z-Pouch Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Wow - Dare to dream of that 1st round matchup. An absolute nightmare for OSU. Quote
dclear2k Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I highly doubt UA would be a challenge for OSU.. Zips are much improved but who is gonna stop Dials from OSU? Foster? Sorry, I just dont think Dru and Travis can do it. Quote

Sorry, I just dont think Dru and Travis can do it.The lights aren't really on in Can't are they.......?My point as stated in some posts above is that OSU would have everything to lose in this in state match up and little to gain with a presumed victory before tip off. It's was kind of the theme of this whole thread. I can try and type slower if you think it would help Quote

Heck, they won't even play in state teams on their home court anymore let alone getting them on a neutral court. Quote
Kangaroo Craig Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 OSU is overrated! The entire MAC is underated! Quote
zen Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 :lol:You could say this about any 1seed playing a 16 in their bracket. They are supposed to win, and if they do, no one cares, but if they don't, look out! Quote
