NewZipsFan
But more importantly: THEY KEEP FORGETTING TO PUT THE SOUND ON. WE MISSED AROUND FOUR MINUTES! Can't we assign some student assistant or something to be the "turn the mics back on after the breaks" guy???

FearTheRoo
Glad someone posted this thread. I have been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what is wrong with my computer! Apparently there is nothing wrong. It's just a terrible feed. Blue & Gold
'71 does it again! Unfortunately they've yet to pull off a live feed without a hitch. And I wonder if whoever is in charge of hitting the un-mute button after time outs is embarrassed with their effort? Do we have middle school students running the A/V equipment? Why do they even need to mute the feed? I understand there are commercial timeouts, but I would rather hear the commercials than have some dimwit forget to press the 'Sound On' button. For some reason the commercials won't play on the feed. You can hear French and Dunn talking to each other during the breaks when they forgot to mute it. NewZipsFan
Actually, I'd love to hear their comments. Unless they're dropping perpetual F-bombs, why mute them? There are usually some sort of FCC or some other regulations regarding airing radio commercials over the internet. My suggestion -- why not have a CROWD microphone on during the breaks? That way, we can at least "feel" like we're at the game.. hear the music that the band is playing.. the songs that the dancers are doing their routines to, the arena announcements, etc... That way - the announcers can be muted, but the internet audience isn't constantly wondering, "what's wrong with my computer? is it just me? does anyone else have sound? what the heck is going on there? do I need to see an audiologist???"... The Hip Zip
I watch a lot of the free Horizon feeds and no matter which school they are coming from, they are executed flawlessly without exception. The MAC feeds are a joke, not just ours either. I would like to think that the conference would like to appear to big league but that's clearly not the case. It's pretty obvious that they just don't care because they have not taken one step to improve quality. Give a tweet to: JGuyMAC He is the director of MAC communications and ask if there are plans to improve the various feeds. Keep it respectful, he's a pretty good dude. You can also find his email on the MAC website.
