Thomas Schmitt is listed as a Top MLS Prospect for the upcoming season by Top Drawer Soccer. This list does exclude MLS Academy prospects.

F Thomas Schmitt, Akron: Never count out a four-year senior from Akron, and while Schmitt isn’t the most physically impressive player, if he can hold onto his starting spot and score some goals, he’ll certainly get a chance to showcase himself in MLS.

I'm glad to see Thomas getting well-deserved recognition. I think he's a 5-year senior having red-shirted in 2008, if I remember correctly.

Darlington Nagbe scores in 41st minute. 1 goal in each of the last 3 games.

EDIT: According to the announcers, MLS 36 is doing a feature that will include Darlington.

NBC will try to fill that void beginning Sunday with the debut of “MLS 36″ after NBCSN carries the match between Portland and Dallas starting at 7 p.m. Eastern. The series of five 30-minute shows will chronicle the exploits of five M.L.S. players, beginning with Chris Wondolowski’s preparations in the 36 hours leading up to the recent all-star game against Chelsea. ...

After San Jose’s Wondo, currently the No. 1 goal scorer in the league, “MLS 36″ on Friday will feature Seattle’s Fredy Montero (as he prepares for the World Football Challenge game against Chelsea in which he scored two goals), D.C. United’s Dwayne De Rosario, Portland’s Darlington Nagbe and Real Salt Lake’s Kyle Beckerman. The show will follow game telecasts and will also be replayed on the channel. The Montero segment will be shown after the match between the Red Bulls and Houston Dynamo.

41' - Darlington Nagbe becomes the first Timbers player in MLS history to score three goals in three straight games. (i.e., 1 goal per game)

It doesn't look like Luke Holmes has had a productive season in the USL Pro http://www.uslsoccer.com/teams/2012/22403.html#STATS

My apologies, I read this the other day and forgot to post it, but Luke Holmes is advancing to the USL PRO Championship match against Charleston and scored one of the goals to get them into the championship.

Was anyone here in the Capitol City for the Crew matchup versus Chivas USA tonight? (Hello, Crew8?) The Crew scored in or near injury time for a one-nil victory. Quite symbolic of Chivas' season overall. They played a first 20 minutes as well as they've played all year (though similar to their last two losses vs Seattle and San Jose), but they had just one real scoring chance over the 90 minutes. Robin Fraser was in the stands sitting out the game after receiving the red card in the San Jose game -- and that could explain his team's temporary good play. ;)

Ben Zemanski started the game and played 90 minutes, in place of Shalrie Joseph, who also was suspended for accumulated yellow cards. Poor Ben again was forced to play himself into playing rhythm, and has not yet caught up -- which can be said of many Goats in this jumbled line-up. Ben's signature play now is the 40-yard attacking pass into the 6-yard box -- he's always close but not quite able to connect, as happened on a pass early on to former Crew forward Alejandro Moreno.

Finally, I have to admit something -- watching MLS futbol games can too often be like watching two MAC schools play futbol Americano. I can't recall a night where that fact was more present than tonight. Both games were televised to the 50th state. :P Yeeach.

I was not at the game. Although that was a fantastic finish.

. Ever since they brought on Higuain, Arrieta's game has really improved.
