akronzips71
Are you kidding me? That charge call sucked, negated the go ahead basket.
zipsfan13
The refs didn't cost the Zips the game. They lost because Cooper couldn't be stopped if a 20 ft wall was in front of him, they had too many turnovers, and they left too many OU players open for 3. They were, I think 9 of 32 from inside. What does that tell you?

Tells me that if we didn't have so many turnovers, we win on additional shots.
akronzips71
Akron was 9 out of 12 from beyond the arc. They were, I think 9 of 32 from inside. What does that tell you? What I saw is that our gimmies in the paint just would not drop. That just killed us. ONE MORE BUCKET is all we needed.
akronzips71
And that second AA foul shot. All someone needed to do was touch it!

They continue to amaze me with how many layups and other easy shots they miss. The bottom line is this. We got them to play our game and they beat us at our game. Congratulations to OU for a well played game. They earned it.
zipdiehard
Agreed, too many easy misses against a team with ZERO inside game. Yes, the refs did make some horrendous momentum changing calls (like the phantom 3 call on the cross dresser), but we still should have beat that team by double digits. Unfortunately for the MAC, it will be one and done again. Time to regroup and make some noise in the NIT.

Come back next year and regroup, there's no seniors on the team, and they'll probably be one of the favorites to win the MAC again next year. Look at the bright side: Can't was knocked out of the tourney, and as always:
The Hip Zip
I thought that the play was clearly a charge. Hey, we fought hard and they fought hard and somebody had to lose. If we had to look at a particular play, I'd say it was the absurd 3 that Coop threw in when all he was trying to do was to draw a foul from Serb. GJGood
We pretty much got the game we wanted except for the end result. We had a lot of inside looks and open threes. We had no bigs in foul trouble. We even severely limited Cooper's drive and kick out ability and contested most of his three point shots. Those contested shots just went in and whether it was too much adrenaline or not we missed some of our inside shots. Too many turnovers but that is OU's forte and tends to be our biggest weakness and it was nowhere near as bad as it was in Athens a couple weeks ago. Agent Zero
??? Is this response about us or "OUwishyouwereohiostate? If so, they have one senior and we have three. My mistake; got confused by the commentator on one of the other ESPN games.
