Bleacher Bum
The Rowdies were awesome again today. Even better and louder than the OU game! I saw a lot of defeated faces at halftime, but we never lost faith. Let's roll into C-Town and show Can't what it really means to be "MAC Champs!" zipsbandman
I was one of the lucky students that got in with the Rowdies, and we all did an outstanding job. When we were down by twelve, nobody was ready to give up. Guys were urging us to get louder. Akron hit a home run with the fear the roo slogan and the formation of the AK rowdies. This group is the driving force behind creating home cour advantage. I would love to see OU in the Q cause I think we can take the O-zone, especially if we all sit together rather than being split in half, but that probably won't happen. You guys should have seen the waiting line an hour and a half before the game. It went out all the way to Buchtel Commons. It was fun chanting anti Can't slogans to prospective students walking around. We got some real die hards in that section. No question the Rowdies played a part in the zips comeback. Blue & Gold
The Rowdies kept the faith and kept the spirit high when everyone easily could have been drained after that less-than-stellar 1st half! You guys were awesome (though I didn't hear the 'Fear - the - Roo!!!' chant much). You kept the faith & our players really responded to you guys! Wow! dialsfan11
Very well done. I barely had to yell at anyone this game to get loud. My friend that had to work listened to it on the radio and said we were so loud it was insane. That second half was awesome. Can't couldn't get a single offensive set without it being so loud they couldn't hear themselves think. Only one complaint and it's kind of a big one. WHERE WERE ALL OF YOU AFTER THE GAME. I think other than us painted people maybe one or two people rushed the floor. No one said anything to us. They actually said good job when we came back into the stands. Everyone talks about being the new best student section and how we want to be like some of the bigger programs. Every school that wins a big rivalry storms the court afterwards. Don't say that the ropes stopped you cause every school has that. It's NCAA rules that they have to be there. That better not happen next year after sweeping the golden suckoffs. They roped us off and kept security guards around us. Most of us were not willing to risk it and I think a lot of us saw that painted people running around with the cheerleaders before the game and at times during the game and figured that they were "allowed to". I for one would have loved to have stormed the court but I also didn't want to get expelled from next weeks games.
dialsfan11
Just so you know the university can't stop anyone from going to a game that's not at Akron. I'm sure the Q doesn't give 2 shits about someone storming the floor at their own school. So bad argument. No matter what anyone says that was piss poor. No excuse is a good one. I'd love to hear someone try but really, no excuse for not doin it.

I would love to know exactley how you guys got onto the floor b/c those of us who didn't were staring straight at a line of security guards and athletic personel who were starring right back at us with that "go ahead and try it, I dare ya" look on their faces. zipsbandman
He's right we should have stormed the court. We would have overwhelmed them.
dialsfan11
There was one security guard in front of my entire side of the basket. If you can't overcome that then wow, you are not a true fan.

Must have been the south side then. There were at least 4-5 guys that I saw on North side.
