K-Roo Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Trib Live Ohio.com April "Recruits on campus Two potential Zips took in Thursday morning’s practice. Michael Kish, a 6-foot-5, 230 lbs. tight end-defensive lineman from Brentwood High School in Pennsylvania, and Kyle Stahl, a 6-foot-5, 205 lbs, quarterback from St. Henry High School, were on hand." akronzips71 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 I must say, Bowden gets the prospects to take a look. I really think we are going to win some games this year, and be competitive for the MAC title next year. Quote
K92 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 In my opinion, I think the new staff is 3 for 3 so far in recruiting. I wonder where Mr. Kish fits into the spread? Any guesses? Quote
g-mann17 Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 TE and FB play a major role in many spread offenses. It gives you a big mobile body that allows you to create a mismatch. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 The Trib Live link K-Roo posted says he was recruited as an offensive tackle. He has a big enough frame and that's where I expect him to play. Quote

I'm not as dumb as I look! Honest!! For whatever reason, my wunnerfull Verizon "smart" phone wouldn't load the link yesterday. I was hoping we were looking at him as OT. I will try not to ask anymore dumb questions. :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 Keener, you need to see if you can get that guy (in your image) to commit. He looks to to ready for the trenches. In here (middle of page), there are some more positive signs about Kish. Hopefully, he won't be swayed by any offers that may come down the line from Maryland or elsewhere. Quote
zestycoyote Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 I see his only other offer was from VMI. It's still pretty early in the recruiting process. The true test is if he maintains his recruitment when/if he gets an offer from a bigger program (e.g. Big 10, or even a competitive MAC university). Quote
