bobbyake
MLS has Caldwell at 7, and Trapp at 17. The MAC has 3 players in the first round. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012...draft-prospects
Ando
scotty's eligible for a HG contract with the revs, though, right? Hard for me to believe he's available for the draft
bobbyake
scotty's eligible for a HG contract with the revs, though, right? Hard for me to believe he's available for the draft We will see, I believe he has the choice. With Gavin playing in NE, it's possible he'll go HG. Portland is currently sitting on the 4th pick, it's possible Porter could take him there.
okayokay
From what I have seen so far this season and also from what I have read there will most likely be a bunch of players taken in the draft or signed as Home growns.

okayokay
Pray that our Sophomores stay! If they can play as a pro and will have a different coach;why would they want to stay?
fknbuflobo
If they can play as a pro and will have a different coach;why would they want to stay? Answer: They might stay to further develop in a collegiate atmosphere vs. languishing on an MLS reserve team. Ask Ben Speas about this subject. I hope our sophomores think long and hard on it. The MLS is more than happy for their potential assets to mature in a good program while not earning a salary. THAT is why it is tremendously important that this next coach have real juice in the soccer community. He must be a coach for which perspective professionals want to play. He also must be a coach the MLS respects and trusts.
Crew8
MLS: Big Man on Campus - Chad Barson Akron senior defender Chad Barson – This is almost a season-long achievement award more than any one match, as Barson has been a defensive rock for the stingy Zips for the entire year. A sure-fire lock to sign a Homegrown contract with the Columbus Crew at season’s end, Barson led the Zips to two more shutouts this weekend and scored his second goal of the year at Hartwick.
