I think we should all be celebrating right about now. Within 15 miles in NE Ohio, lies the CHAMPIONS in FOOTBALL and BASKETBALL in a conference that stretches over five STATES and TWELVE SCHOOLS!!!! We should be proud of what these kids did this year.

...And Men's Soccer, Women's track and women's field.I just had a crazy idea the other day... What if both schools merge ? they can be called something like North East Ohio University, the west campus (akron) would host engineering/science, nursing and may be business schools ! and the East campus in Can't would host the arts, education, communication and other humanities majors. we would have an enrollment of 45-50k and we would be a big 10 school. The Athletic teams should improve as well and they can be called the golden zips ! Back to reality, as i said, this is just a crazy idea and until it becomes true,

The "West" Campus should also be the site of the medical school! NEOUCOM is a joke where it is now!...But yes, I like the idea of combining the two schools.

NEOUCOM won't move either way. It's a joint project with UA, Can't State and YSU.

I'm well aware of the bureacracy associated with NEOUCOM. Its just a waste to have a medical school away from the clinical and research centers that are found in the City of Akron. Thus, clinical affiliations are weaker than they should be and the school is an underachiever in research. As it is, NEOUCOM is a waste of tax dollars.

This is interesting. I agree with Antonio, but not with a few of the others. While it is exciting having the basketball and football champions close together, I could not live with myself attending any classes on a Can't State campus. The only time I was at Can't State was for the "Infiltration," and I'd like to keep it that way. I mean, nothing against the school or its students, but it's just that I hate the school and its students. No offense.

Pretty sure nothing would make me think anything other that . But a funny thought nonetheless. I'm rooting for the MAC now, not for Can't though, I want the MAC to win but not Can't. Weird...how can I be happy here? I guess I'll go with "I wont be incredibly dissapointed if Can't wins."
